A company in Dekwaneh is hiring Head Mechanics.
Tasks:
- Provide daily direction and/or instruction to mechanics; prioritize and assign job tasks for the mechanics in order to best utilize the work force and available time. Review all Daily Vehicle Inspections.
- Train, supervise and evaluate mechanics. Work with mechanics to correct deficiencies.
- Monitor and inspect work of the mechanics. - Ensure mechanics are completing work to industry standards for quality and time.
- Estimate time and repair cost of mechanical repairs to equipment.
- Evaluate vendors on quality, price and timeliness of any repair work done.
- Maintain accurate inventory of all parts.
-Promote safety in the shop and maintain a clean work environment.
-Stay informed on new technologies, techniques, procedures and laws that
will affect shop and transportation operations.
-Clearly communicate with staff orally and written.
Required:
1. Equivalent to high school graduation.
2. Five (5) years of increasing responsible experience and varied journey level
experience in repair and maintenance of automotive equipment (preferably
involving repairs to heavy duty equipment such as diesel trucks and buses)
3. Two (2) years of supervisory experience
