Job Title: Software Deployment Assistant FSR # 651 

Location: Amman

Job Summary

Deployment Assistant supports the deployment and implementation of software solutions, ensuring smooth transitions and minimizing downtime. This role involves assisting in the preparation, coordination, and execution of software installations, updates, and configurations across multiple platforms. Responsibilities include working closely with the deployment team, conducting pre-deployment checks, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing training and on-site or remote support during rollouts. The assistant also collaborates with stakeholders to create deployment documentation and ensure that end-users are properly trained and supported.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software deployment processes and related tools, with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. They should possess outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, enabling effective collaboration across teams and providing support to end users. Flexibility in managing tasks and responsibilities, along with the ability to adapt to dynamic work environments, is essential for success in this role

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIES

Support in Software Deployment and Implementation (50%)

  • Assisting Transition Planning: Assist in transition planning under the guidance Head of Department (HoD) and IT team to assist in testing, installation, and staff training during software transitions, ensuring that data integrity is maintained throughout the process.
  • Global Rollout Support: Provide assistance in implementing software across International Medical Corps’ global missions and help coordinate efforts with external partners when required.
  • Monitoring Progress and Assisting Users: Track the status of software implementations and act as a key contact for user support, addressing concerns and answering queries.
  • Compliance Assistance: Collaborate with the HoD and medical team to ensure systems adhere to privacy, security, and confidentiality standards in line with regulatory and organizational policies.
  • Implementation Plan Assistance: Support the development of rollout plans by working with field teams and the medical department to ensure smooth implementation.
  • User Training Resources: Contribute to the creation of user guides and training modules to aid in system adoption and user proficiency in health management software.

Software Support (50%)

  • Providing User Support and Training: Assist healthcare professionals with technical issues, offering troubleshooting support and participating in training sessions to educate users on system functionality.
  • System Monitoring and Maintenance: Help oversee the performance of systems, including performing routine updates, patches, and configuration changes to ensure systems are secure and operating efficiently.
  • Issue Resolution and Documentation: Respond to system issues, escalate more complex problems, and document resolutions in the system to maintain accurate records for future reference.
  • System Documentation and Reporting: Assist in updating system documentation, including configurations and procedures, and support the generation of performance reports for management.
  • Collaborative Coordination: Work in partnership with IT teams, healthcare workers, and external vendors to support updates and system improvements. Participate in teams focused on system enhancement efforts.
  • Ensuring Compliance and Security: Support the implementation of security protocols and help maintain compliance with relevant regulations concerning patient data privacy and system security.
  • User Feedback and System Improvement: Gather and document user feedback on system performance and functionality, and work with the technical team to implement improvements.
  • Emergency and Disaster Preparedness: Assist in the creation and testing of disaster recovery plans to ensure system resilience in emergency situations.
  • Staying Current with Best Practices: Stay informed on the latest trends and best practices in health information technology to support ongoing system improvement efforts.

 

  • Other task assigned by direct supervisors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, management information systems (MIS), computer science (CS), or a related health or IT field.
  • Minimum 3 Months experience including volunteering or internship.
  • Experience in Health IT experience is preferable.
  • Very good English language..
