Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Director to lead the commercial strategy and retail operations for a leading fashion retail business. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, optimizing merchandising and inventory performance, enhancing customer experience, and leading business expansion while ensuring operational excellence across multiple retail locations. Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the overall commercial strategy to achieve sustainable sales growth across all retail stores.
Monitor and improve key retail KPIs, including Sales, ATV, UPT, Conversion Rate, Footfall, Capture Rate, and Customer Satisfaction.
Lead merchandise planning, buying strategy, inventory management, and Open-to-Buy (OTB) planning.
Optimize stock allocation, replenishment, and sell-through performance to maximize profitability and minimize excess inventory.
Develop and implement commercial marketing initiatives, CRM programs, and customer loyalty strategies.
Ensure consistent brand standards, visual merchandising, and operational excellence across all retail locations.
Lead, coach, and develop commercial and retail teams while fostering a high-performance culture.
Drive continuous improvement of the customer journey and customer experience across all stores.
Evaluate market opportunities and lead retail expansion initiatives, including new store openings.
Prepare executive reports and present commercial performance and strategic recommendations to senior management.
Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field.
Jordanian nationality with proven GCC experience is required.
Minimum 10 years of experience in fashion or lifestyle retail, including at least 5 years in a senior commercial leadership role .
Strong expertise in commercial management, merchandising, buying, retail operations, and inventory planning.
Proven experience managing multi-store retail operations and delivering sales growth and profitability.
Strong understanding of retail KPIs, customer experience, and commercial performance management.
Excellent leadership, strategic planning, analytical, and communication skills.
Experience with ERP systems and retail management software.
Fluency in both Arabic and English.
