AMAL Project Jordan | ICU Istituto per la Cooperazione Universitaria Location: 1 position covering Karak, with regular field work. Type of Employment: Full-time, fixed term 3 months. Reports to: Field Coordinator.

We are seeking an experienced Case Manager to lead the identification and selection of project beneficiaries according to vulnerability criteria. The Case Managers will manage individual beneficiary files from first contact to enrolment or referral, ensuring that the selection process is fair, transparent, protection-sensitive and well documented.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage individual beneficiary case files from identification to enrolment in project activities or referral to other organizations and programs.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of the Enumerators, ensuring the correct application of the vulnerability criteria and selection quotas (30% Syrian refugees, 70% vulnerable Jordanians, at least 50% women, at least 15% persons with disabilities).
  • Conduct in-depth vulnerability assessments and verify the eligibility of candidates.
  • Provide beneficiaries with clear guidance on project services (TVET, life and soft skills training, cash for training, internships, matchmaking events) and on their rights and obligations.
  • Identify protection needs and refer cases to competent organizations and services through existing referral pathways, in coordination with SCJ and other actors.
  • Liaise with local CBOs, community leaders and partners to support outreach and community validation, ensuring the inclusion of marginalized groups.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential and up-to-date documentation of all cases in the project database.
  • Contribute to the verification of beneficiary lists and to reporting on the selection process.
  • Apply ICU s safeguarding, protection, gender and do-no-harm principles in all activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor s degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Psychology or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of case management experience with refugees and/or vulnerable populations.
  • Good knowledge of referral pathways and protection services in Jordan.
  • Previous experience supervising enumerators or outreach teams is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to deal sensitively with vulnerable people.
  • Good computer literacy and familiarity with beneficiary databases.
  • Fluency in Arabic and good working knowledge of English.
