Job Responsibilities – R&D PVC Specialist
Research and Development:
- Conduct research to develop new PVC formulations and enhance existing ones.
- Explore innovative additives, stabilizers, plasticizers, and other components to improve PVC properties (e.g., durability, flexibility, thermal stability).
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to PVC materials.
Product Development:
- Design and perform experiments to create PVC materials tailored for specific applications.
- Collaborate with production teams to scale up new formulations from lab to manufacturing.
- Optimize PVC processing techniques such as extrusion and injection molding to maximize efficiency and product quality.

- Must have hands-on experience in all types of PVC hoses, including:
- Suction hoses
- Layflat hoses
- Flexible garden hoses
- High-pressure hoses
Testing and Analysis:
- Perform physical, chemical, and mechanical tests to evaluate material performance (e.g., tensile strength, impact resistance, flame retardancy).
- Analyze data and generate actionable recommendations for formulation or process improvements.
- Ensure products meet industry standards and certifications (e.g., ISO, ASTM, REACH).
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain detailed technical reports, lab documentation, and internal/external presentations.
- Keep accurate records of formulations, test results, and development processes.
Collaboration and Support:
- Work with sales and marketing to understand customer requirements and develop tailored solutions.
- Provide technical support to production, quality control, and customer service teams.
- Collaborate with raw material suppliers to evaluate and source suitable components.
Sustainability Initiatives:
- Research and implement environmentally sustainable practices, such as PVC recycling, use of bio-based plasticizers, and strategies to reduce environmental impact.
