Job Purpose

The REACH IM/Database Assistant is responsible for providing a range of Information Management and database supports ex. Building XlsForms, Data cleaning, Analysis, Factsheets and Dashboard to REACH SYRIA and YEMEN projects, it also will be responsible for providing support for any IT technical issue, and the REACH IM/Database Assistant will write the SoPs and Training materials for anything related to the IM/Database Department.


Objectives, Duties and Responsibilities 


  • Provide technical assistance to staff and customers on hardware and software-related issues. 
  • Maintains open communication and positive working relationship with staff. 
  • Maintain and administer Backed up copies of Servers and client PCs data to prevent accidental loss. 
  • Ensuring the highest network day to day availability and good performance of the IT network and communications. 
  • Understand and follow appropriate IT procedures, and support user awareness of IT systems and procedures. 
  • Provide support in monitoring, cleaning and analysis incoming data. 
  • Do testing and QA for the form and make sure that its working on the best performance. 
  • Provide support to field staff during the data collection process 
  • Build and create Xls kobo forms from scratch 
  • Helping other staff with learn some tips for data cleaning and visualization. 
  • Filtering the data and checking duplicates by using some formulas on the data. 
  • Checking the correctness of the incoming data from the field team and the enumerators. 
  • Writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)s. 
  • Visualize data using interactive Dashboards (PoweBI). 
  • Writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)s. 
  • Writing Training materials. 

Skills

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field 
  • Fluent English and Arabic (written and spoken) 
  • Knowledge of computer systems and software 
  • Familiarity with hardware and software installation 
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills 
  • Strong communication and customer service skills 
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Able to learn quickly and adapt to changing technology
