Are you a fresh graduate ready to make an impact in international cooperation? GIZ Jordan is building a pool of talented individuals for upcoming internship opportunities within the "Improved Governance to Support Jordanian Reform Projects (PARtner)" project. GIZ is providing a 3 to 6 months internship opportunity that is remunerated with a stipend and managed through an internship agreement. 

The project (PARtner) has been commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is implementing the project on behalf of the German government. 

This bilateral project works with the Jordanian Government to enhance the capacities of the public administration in Jordan. Under the umbrella of the Public Sector Modernization Roadmap and the Economic Modernization Vision, the project supports the transformation of the public sector. Through a more efficient, effective public administration which is responsive to citizens’ and businesses’ needs, the relationship between citizens and the state shall be improved, and the wider economic reforms agenda supported. 

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Support training/workshop organization 
  • Prepare meetings and document outcomes 
  • Assist in monitoring and evaluation 
  • Collect and translate project-related documents 
  • Provide clerical and logistical support 
  • Where appropriate and reasonable, the position holder is willing to perform tasks outside the scope of the job description 

Who Are We Looking For? 

  • Recent university graduate (maximum 24 months after graduation) in the field of political sciences, public administration, economics, law, IT, engineering or a related field.   
  • Excellent academic credentials. 
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic language skills.  
  • Very good communication and organizational skills.  
  • Good working knowledge of ITC technologies and computer applications (e.g. MS Office)   
  • Keen to learn new skills, able to integrate in an international work context.  
  • Team player.
