JOB TITLE: Clinic Coordinator

TEAM/PROGRAMME: Healthy Community Clinics / Health program

LOCATION: Za’atari Refugee camp

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Monitor the project activities with the project team, and make sure that the goals and objectives are achieved.

2. Take accurate blood pressure and blood sugar readings and calculate accurate body mass index for people of concern.

3. Stay updated on the latest advancements in Non-communicable diseases, diabetes and hypertension guidelines and healthcare.

4. Patient Education: 

• Conduct group awareness sessions on non-communicable diseases prevention healthy life stylerelated topics.

• Provide one-to-one educational sessions on NCDs risk factors and life style change to address individual health concerns and avoid NCDs.

• Offer guidance on lifestyle modifications for uncontrolled patients in corporation with health providers.

5. Follow-Up Care:

  • Implement and monitor lifestyle changes recommended during one-on-one sessions.
  •  Ensure continuity of care by following up with patients to track progress and address any challenges.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to adjust care plans as needed.

6. Clinic Coordination:

• Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the healthy community clinic.

• Ensure a smooth workflow and efficient utilization of resources in the clinic.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.

7. Volunteer Management:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of volunteers within the clinic.

• Provide training and support to volunteers, ensuring they are equipped to contribute effectively.

• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment for volunteers.

8. Data Management and statistical analysis:

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient data and vital signs reading, documenting all relevant information.

• Generate reports to assess the impact of interventions and identify areas for improvement.

• Prepare monthly report with statistical analysis. 

9. Prepare and facilitate any necessary training to the project staff either officers, volunteers, or other SCJ components. 

10. Communication and collaboration with healthcare providers and referring high readings to internal medicine clinics inside camp for diagnosis.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in medicine or nursing.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Minimum 2-3 years’ previous experience in health.

• Ability to work on daily basis in the field.
