ROLE PURPOSE:
Save the Children Jordan (SCJ) is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Partnerships and Business Development to lead the organization’s growth, diversification, and long-term sustainability. The Director will drive SCJ’s partnership agenda, expand high-value relationships, and secure new funding that enables impactful, child-centered programming across the Kingdom.
As a senior leader reporting to the CEO, the Director will oversee the full portfolio of resource mobilization and award management, ensuring that SCJ is consistently positioned for high-quality opportunities and that all awards are managed with excellence, transparency, and accountability.
The role requires a seasoned professional with a strong track record in securing funding, cultivating strategic partnerships, and navigating complex donor environments. The Director will work closely with Save the Children members, regional offices, government entities, donors, and private-sector partners to deepen SCJ’s national leadership and strengthen its contribution to the wider movement

Key Areas of Accountability
1. Strategic Partnerships & Representation
- Lead SCJ’s partnership strategy, identifying high-value opportunities and positioning the organization as a trusted, nationally rooted, and globally connected partner.
- Build strong, sustainable relationships with donors, government counterparts, private-sector actors, foundations, and relevant ministries.
- Represent SCJ at national, regional, and international levels—strengthening the organization’s credibility, visibility, and influence.
- Coordinate closely with Save the Children members and global networks to identify funding gaps and opportunities, ensuring alignment and effective collaboration.
- Ensure all partnerships meet SCJ’s standards for safeguarding, risk management, compliance, and organizational values.
