About the Job


The Demand Analyst Engineer is responsible for analyzing, forecasting, and monitoring passenger demand patterns across Royal Jordanian's network. The role supports revenue optimization by evaluating Origin and Destination (O&D) demand, identifying market trends, and providing data-driven insights to Pricing, Sales, and Network teams. The position contributes to effective demand planning, forecast accuracy, and informed commercial decision-making in a dynamic airline environment.


 


Duties & Responsibilities



  • Monitor, validate, and refine Origin and Destination (O&D) demand forecasts to ensure alignment with market dynamics and business objectives.

  • Proactively adjust forecasts in response to changes in passenger flows driven by market events, economic conditions, schedules, competition, and network developments.

  • Monitor booking behavior and demand development to ensure performance aligns with forecast expectations, and recommend corrective actions when deviations occur.

  • Coordinate closely with Sales, Pricing, Group Desk, and relevant commercial departments to ensure effective information exchange and alignment on market conditions.

  • Provide regular analytical feedback to Market and Sales teams to support evaluation of commercial strategies and initiatives.

  • Evaluate actual performance against forecasts and targets, identifying variances and underlying drivers.

  • Support the forecasting and planning of special events and irregular demand patterns.

  • Provide analytical input and feedback to Flight Analysts to support network and capacity planning decisions.

  • Support Pricing Analysts by contributing demand insights to regional pricing strategies and tactical decisions.

  • Collaborate with Sales, Group Desk, and Pricing teams in the planning and management of group traffic demand.

  • Participate in forecast review meetings, demand planning cycles, and management presentations.

  • Prepare performance analysis reports and clearly explain forecast deviations and commercial impacts to stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with advanced problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong strategic and commercial thinking mindset.

  • Ability to interpret complex datasets and translate findings into actionable commercial recommendations.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced airline environment, including availability during holidays and weekends when required.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and business intelligence tools (such as Power BI or Tableau); SQL knowledge is an advantage.

  • Solid understanding of forecasting techniques, demand curves, and data visualization principles.
