MOSTAQBAL is currently seeking a highly qualified Hydraulic Engineer to join our project in Gawr as-Safi, Jordan.
- oDetailed Design & Analysis
- Review hydrological models, design flows and boundary conditions
- Evaluate scour, sediment transport, morphodynamics where applicable.
- Design dike protection and revetments
- Design of hydraulic structures, such as culverts, weirs, storage basins, pumping stations, drainage channels, bridges, etc.
- Prepare calculations, drawings, specifications, and design reports.
- oDesign coordination
- Coordinate design interfaces with other design teams and disciplines (e.g. geotechnical, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, etc.)
- Conduct and respond to independent design checks (peer reviews) and value engineering.
- oStakeholder Engagement
- Lead technical meetings, workshops, and design reviews with client, authorities, contractors, and consultants.
- Prepare clear communications on technical choices, risks, and trade‑offs.
- Competencies & Experience:
- oEducation: Master’s (preferred) in Hydraulic/Water Resources/Coastal/Civil Engineering or equivalent
- oRegistration: Chartered Engineer (CEng), PE, or local registration (if applicable).
- oExperience: >5 years across feasibility to construction in river, coastal, and/or urban drainage contexts.
- oTechnical Skills:
- Hydraulic modelling: 1D/2D (e.g., HEC‑RAS 1D/2D, InfoWorks ICM, SWMM, MIKE 11/21/URBAN, TUFLOW, SOBEK).
- Design of hydraulic structures (culverts, weirs, spillways, gates, dikes/revetments, pumping stations).
- oDigital Skills: GIS, BIM (Civil3D, AutoCAD), model coordination (ACC), SharePoint
- oSoft Skills: Pro-active communication, coordination with the design team and modellers, stakeholder management, clear technical writing and presentation in English.
