We are looking for a fresh graduate to join the Technology and Digital Innovation Department for a one-year internship contract under Zain Youth Program.

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of database systems under supervision.

  
  

• Support daily database operations, including monitoring performance, checking backups, and ensuring data availability and integrity.

  
  

• Help execute database backups, restores, and basic recovery procedures, and document outcomes.

  
  

• Assist in troubleshooting database issues, analyzing logs, and escalating problems to senior DBAs when needed.

  
  

The suitable candidate should have the following requirements:

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, MIS, CIS or any related field.

Technical skills:

• Database Administration Basics (Relational Databases, Basic Data Operations, Understanding of Schemas (Tables, relationships, primary/foreign keys)

  
  

• SQL/PL SQL Skills (Writing complex SQL queries, Stored Procedures, Functions, and Triggers)

  
  

• Operating System Knowledge ( Basic familiarity with Linux/Unix commands)

  
  

• Scripting & Automation (Python, Shell scripting)

  
  

Soft skills:

• Good problem-solving and analytical skills

  
  

• Team Work

  
  

• Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks while working on multiple assignments
