Job Title: Senior Business Development Expert – Construction / Contracting Projects.

Job Summary

The Senior Business Development Expert is responsible for identifying new business opportunities for Construction Projects in Jordan and abroad, building strong client relationships, and driving company growth through strategic partnerships, market expansion, and sales initiatives. The role focuses on increasing revenue, improving market presence, and supporting long-term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the overall business development strategy in alignment with corporate vision and long-term growth objectives
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize high-value markets, sectors, and strategic opportunities at regional and international levels
  • Drive market entry, expansion, and diversification strategies across construction and infrastructure portfolios
  • Build, maintain, and leverage executive-level relationships with key clients, government entities, developers, financiers, and strategic partners
  • Oversee market intelligence, competitor positioning, and industry trend analysis to guide strategic decision-making
  • Provide executive oversight for major bids, tenders, PPPs, and negotiated projects, ensuring competitiveness and risk alignment
  • Lead and mentor the business development officials, setting targets, KPIs, and performance standards
  • Collaborate with executive management, operations, finance, legal, and technical leadership to align growth initiatives with delivery capabilities
  • Lead the preparation of the bids based on the tender documents in cooperation with the financial and technical departments in the copy considering the requirements of the tender documents and the invitation to submit tenders under different types of contracts and agreements and FIDIC contracts different types.
  • Direct high-level negotiations, strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and framework agreements
  • Ensure achievement of revenue, backlog, and profitability targets through disciplined pipeline management
  • Represent the company at executive meetings, industry forums, conferences, and strategic negotiations
  • Advise the CEO and Board on growth strategy, investment opportunities, and market positioning

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 15 years of overall experience with +10 years of proven experience as a Business Development/Tendering within the Construction or Contracting Industry mainly for buildings and Infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent experience in the preparation of bids and tenders for local and international construction projects including FIDIC contracts of different types.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Good experience in the analysis and review of the technical reports and the engineering drawings.
  • Ability to build long-term relationships and work independently
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in use and operation of MS Office, Project Management and Planning Software and AI search engine.
  • Professional skills in reading, writing and speaking English Language in an asset.
  • High level of skills in business writing of bids and tenders in Arabic and English languages is an asset.
  • Willingness to travel as required

  • Results-driven mindset with strong commercial awareness
  • Knowledge of French language is highly recommended
  • Good knowledge and skills in quantity survey and preparation of construction contracts bills of quantities.
  • Experience in working with multinational teams is highly recommended.
