Job Summary

T serves as the senior technology executive responsible for defining, implementing, and governing the end-to-end

technology strategy for Miraaya's beauty and cosmetics e-commerce platform. This executive role reports directly to the

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and provides strategic leadership to enable revenue growth, gross merchandise value

(GMV) expansion, and operational excellence across Iraq, Jordan, and Dubai.

owns the architecture, scalability, security, and performance of all digital platforms including B2C and B2B e-commerce

websites, mobile applications, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, customer relationship management (CRM)

systems, and integrated third-party solutions. The role encompasses strategic advisory to the CEO on technology

investments, innovation initiatives, data-driven growth enablement, cybersecurity risk management, and the deployment

of artificial intelligence (AI) and automation technologies.

As a key member of the executive leadership team, IT Director collaborates closely with the Chief Commercial Officer

(CCO), Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Supply Chain functions to ensure technology infrastructure supports

business objectives, enhances customer experience, optimizes operational efficiency, and drives competitive advantage

in the regional beauty and cosmetics market.

Location: Jordan with cross-entity collaboration across Dubai & Iraq


Responsibilities:


Technology Strategy & E-Commerce Enablement

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive technology and e-commerce roadmap aligned with business growth
  • objectives and geographic expansion plans across Iraq, Jordan, and Dubai
  • Enable B2C, B2B, marketplace, and omnichannel capabilities to support diverse customer segments and revenue streams
  • Provide executive advisory to the CEO and Board on technology risks, return on investment (ROI), and strategic technology investments
  • Monitor and evaluate global e-commerce trends, retail technology innovations, artificial intelligence developments, and fintech solutions to maintain competitive positioning
  • Define technology governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure consistency and quality across all digital platforms


Digital Platforms & Customer Experience

  • Own the architecture, design, development, and optimization of e-commerce website and mobile application platforms
  • Ensure platform availability, scalability, performance, and reliability to support high-traffic periods and business growth
  • Lead integration initiatives with ERP, CRM, payment gateway, logistics, finance, and marketing technology systems
  • Oversee quality assurance (QA), user acceptance testing (UAT), release management, and conversion rate optimization initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement of user experience, site speed, mobile responsiveness, and checkout optimization to maximize conversion rates


Data, Analytics & Growth Intelligence

  • Establish and maintain business intelligence (BI) dashboards and reporting frameworks for customer acquisition cost
  • (CAC), return on advertising spend (ROAS), conversion rate, customer retention, lifetime value (LTV), and gross merchandise value (GMV)
  • Provide real-time data insights and decision support to Marketing, Finance, and Operations leadership
  • Implement customer analytics, segmentation, cohort analysis, and predictive modeling capabilities
  • Deploy A/B testing frameworks, multivariate testing, and attribution models to optimize marketing effectiveness and customer experience
  • Ensure data governance, data quality, and master data management practices are established and maintained


Security, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Establish and enforce cybersecurity frameworks, data privacy policies, and information security governance structures
  • Ensure compliance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and regional e-commerce regulatory requirements
  • Conduct regular penetration testing, security audits, vulnerability assessments, and threat monitoring
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans, business continuity protocols, and incident response procedures
  • Manage technology risk register and provide regular reporting to executive leadership and Board on technology risks and mitigation strategies


Innovation, AI & Automation

  • Lead the deployment of artificial intelligence solutions for personalization, recommendation engines, and intelligent chatbots to enhance customer experience
  • Explore and implement augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) capabilities for product visualization and virtual try-on experiences
  • Evaluate and deploy blockchain-based solutions for loyalty programs and payment systems where relevant and value-generating
  • Drive process automation initiatives across operations, customer service, and back-office functions to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the technology organization


Infrastructure, Vendors & Cost Optimization

  • Own cloud infrastructure strategy, hosting architecture, and platform performance optimization
  • Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations, service level agreements (SLAs), and technology procurement processes
  • Optimize technology spending and ensure cost efficiency across all technology investments and operational expenses
  • Develop and maintain standardized technology standard operating procedures (SOPs) and governance documentation
  • Evaluate build versus buy decisions and manage technology partnerships to maximize value and minimize risk
  • Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing technology and data analytics team
  • Define roles, responsibilities, key performance indicators (KPIs), and career development plans for technology team members
  • Collaborate closely with Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Supply Chain
  • leadership to ensure technology enablement of business priorities
  • Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement across the technology

Skills

Qualifications and Skills


Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related technical field (mandatory)
  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Technology Management, or related field (preferred)
  • Professional certifications in cloud platforms (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure, or equivalent), cybersecurity (CISSP, CISM), or project management (PMP, Agile) are highly desirable


Years of Relevant Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive technology leadership experience in senior roles such as Chief Technology Officer, Vice President of Technology, or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of direct experience in e-commerce, retail technology, digital platforms, or online marketplace environments
  • Proven track record of scaling technology platforms and enabling digital growth in high-growth or fast-paced environments
  • Demonstrated experience managing technology teams, budgets, and vendor relationships in multi-country or regional operating environments


Required Technical Competencies and Skills

  • Deep expertise in e-commerce platform technologies including Magento, Shopify Plus, headless commerce architectures, or custom-built e-commerce solutions
  • Advanced knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or equivalent infrastructure solutions
  • Strong proficiency in data analytics and business intelligence tools including Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Microsoft
  • Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
  • Comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, data protection regulations, and compliance requirements including GDPR and regional standards
  • Experience with mobile application development for iOS and Android platforms, including native and cross-platform technologies
  • Expertise in system integration, application programming interfaces (APIs), microservices architecture, and enterprise integration patterns
  • Strong knowledge of payment gateway integrations, logistics technology solutions, and omnichannel retail systems
  • Proven vendor management, contract negotiation, and technology procurement capabilities
  • Experience with artificial intelligence, machine learning, personalization engines, and marketing technology platforms
  • Strong understanding of technology budgeting, financial planning, and return on investment analysis
