Job Title: Negotiator

Job Objectives:
The Negotiator is responsible for managing client settlements by reviewing account
details, communicating with creditors, and ensuring compliance with settlement policies. This role involves analyzing delinquent accounts, negotiating favorable settlements, and maintaining accurate documentation within the CRM. The position requires strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills to maximize successful settlements while adhering to regulatory and company policies.
Responsibilities and duties:
1. Settlement Negotiation & Account Review
· Review assigned client files and assess settlement eligibility.
· Determine accounts eligible for settlement based on delinquency, trust balance, and client obligations.
· Contact creditors and/or collectors to initiate negotiations.
· Verify the accuracy of balances, account numbers, and delinquency details.
· Negotiate the most favorable settlement terms on behalf of clients.
2. Compliance & Documentation
· Ensure all compliance steps are completed, including client settlement authorization and proper documentation.
· Maintain accurate and detailed records of settlement agreements within the CRM.
· Send completed settlements to Compliance for review and processing.
· Stay updated on settlement policies of major creditors to ensure compliance with
industry standards.
3. Payment Processing & CRM Management
· Set up settlement payments and schedule collection of fees within the CRM.
· Ensure the accuracy of settlement payment delivery instructions.
· Accurately notate files with updates and resolutions.
Qualifications:
• Diploma in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related “field is a plus.”
Years of Experience:
1–2 years of experience in a high-volume call center environment preferred.

Technical Requirements:
· Experience in financial negotiations, debt resolution, or client account management.
· Proficiency in CRM tools and financial reporting systems.
· Knowledge of industry regulations and creditor settlement policies.
