About the job


As a Senior Data Engineer at Aspire, you will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics platforms that power reporting, experimentation, and business decision-making. You will work closely with analysts, data scientists, and product teams to ensure reliable, high-quality data within a modern cloud environment.

What you’ll do


  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines using Python.
  • Ingest, transform, and model data from multiple sources into Snowflake.
  • Optimize data ingestion and transformation processes for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure pipelines are robust, fault-tolerant, and properly monitored.
  • Develop and maintain data models to support analytics and reporting needs.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data transformation and analysis.
  • Implement data quality checks, testing frameworks, and documentation practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver trusted datasets.
  • Continuously improve pipeline performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Support best practices in data warehousing and analytics engineering.

What you’ll need


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong experience with Snowflake, including data modeling, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
  • Solid programming skills in Python for data processing and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL for modeling, transformations, testing, and documentation.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts such as ETL/ELT, star schema, and slowly changing dimensions.
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and modern data architectures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to data quality and reliability.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Awareness or knowledge of IT security best practices as defined by ISO/SOC or similar.
