The GIZ Jordan Project "Centres for Migration and Development (ZME)” is seeking to hire a “Project Officer – Focus: Data Management” for full-time based employment.

The global programme "Centres for Migration and Development" (ZME) is part of the Group “Flight, Migration, and Return” in the Department “Sector and Global Programmes”. On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the centres help to shape safe and regular migration that benefits all sides: Embedded in the structures of the cooperation countries, they advise people on regular work or training migration and at the same time support returnees from Germany and other countries to reintegrate socio-economically in their country of origin. In this way, the centres enable the partner structures to support people in all phases of the migration cycle.  

Qualifications and Specialist Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, administration/ management or any other related field
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in an administrative, coordination, or project support role within a structured professional environment.
  • Solid working knowledge in data management and client management systems, standard IT tools and digital collaboration platforms, including MS Office applications and MS Teams.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks while following established procedures and guidelines.
  • Practical knowledge of administrative, financial, procurement, or operational procedures within project or organizational environments; familiarity with ERP-based systems (e.g. SAP or similar systems) is an advantage.
  • Good written and spoken English and Arabic with the ability to prepare clear documentation, correspondence, and reports; knowledge of German is an asset.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support advisors of the German Jordanian Centre for Labour Mobility (ZME) in transferring data into the centre’s data management system.
  • Monitor data accuracy, completeness, and consistency in the client management system.
  • Identify and fix errors or duplicates in datasets.
  • Prepare datasets and inputs for analysis and reporting.
  • Ensure data is protected against unauthorized access.
  • Follow-up with clients of the centre to gather feedback on the centre’s services.
  • Organizing, filling and archiving client’s documents to ensure proper documentation.
  • Ensure proper filling and documentation of project records in line with GIZ standards, and support knowledge management within the project.
