Job Details

The GIZ-implemented Civil Peace Service project “Promotion of conflict resolution mechanisms and creation of perspectives for vulnerable groups and disadvantaged regions in Jordan” is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join its team in Jordan.

This internship offers hands-on experience in a dynamic environment that uses creative methods to strengthen civil society organisations in Jordan, enhancing skills, approaches, and opportunities for marginalized youth and communities.

About the Project

On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Civil Peace Service (CPS) programme, implemented by GIZ in Jordan, contributes to strengthening social cohesion and fostering peaceful coexistence. Working in close partnership with local civil society organisations, community-based initiatives, and relevant public actors, the programme promotes inclusive participation and supports marginalized groups – particularly youth – in developing non-violent approaches to address conflicts and shape their communities. Through dialogue-based, creative, and participatory methods, CPS enhances capacities for conflict transformation, strengthens local networks, and creates safe spaces for exchange and collaboration. By linking community-level engagement with broader policy processes, the programme contributes to sustainable peacebuilding and resilience across Jordan, with a focus on underserved and vulnerable communities.
