Job description
A huge leading industrial company is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced (L/C) documentation section head who is responsible for ensuring the seamless processing of shipping documents for vessels and containers.
Key responsibilities :
· Handle and guide the documentation Team to meet company objectives efficiently.
· Oversee the preparation and processing of shipping documents for all shipments.
· Ensure timely and accurate documentation to secure payments and maintain customer satisfaction.
· Train Staff on letter of credit procedures and monitor their readiness to handle high volumes of work.
· Assign tasks, monitor team performance and identify training needs.
· Prepare periodic reports on documentation activities.
· Recommend and monitor relevant training courses for the team.
· Conduct performance appraisals for subordinates.
· Maintain strong partnerships with all stakeholders, internal and external.
· Stay up to date with the latest developments in letters of credit and shipping procedures.
Skills
Job requirements
· Bachelor's degree in business administration, English language or any related field.
· Minimum 10 years of experience in letter of credit (LC) documentation.
· Extensive knowledge of Documentary Credit Management.
· Awareness in developing strategies to mitigate L/C risks.
· Expertise in payment methods and tools.
· Experience in preparing documents such as Bills of Lading, Invoices, Certificate of Analysis, Packing and Inspection.
· Demonstrated ability to coordinate with international clients, shipping lines, surveyors, vessel agents and freight forwarders.
· High experience in multiple payment methods such as letters of credit (LC), open account, documentary collections and advance payments.
· Excellent organizational and Leadership skills.
· Communicational and Technical skills are essential.
· Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving skills.
· Fluent in English Language.
· Excellent Computer skills.
· Advanced knowledge of MS word and Excel.
· The successful candidate should be a non-smoker.
