JOB SUMMARY:
Diagnose, treat and follow non communicable diseases patients.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIES:
- Provide comprehensive outpatient care for patients with non-communicable diseases, including but not limited to diabetes mellitus, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, chronic respiratory diseases, thyroid disorders, epilepsy, and other chronic medical conditions.
- Assess, diagnose, treat, and follow up patients through detailed history taking, physical examination, and interpretation of clinical findings and diagnostic investigations.
- Develop individualized management plans for chronic disease patients in accordance with national and international clinical guidelines and organizational protocols.
- Monitor patients’ clinical progress and treatment outcomes, adjusting medications and care plans as necessary to achieve optimal disease control and prevent complications.
- Request, interpret, and rationally utilize laboratory and diagnostic investigations to support diagnosis, monitoring, and management of NCD patients.
- Identify high-risk patients and recognize early signs of disease complications or deterioration requiring urgent intervention, admission, or referral.
- Refer patients to specialist services, secondary/tertiary healthcare facilities, or allied health professionals when indicated, following established referral procedures.
- Provide patient-centered counseling and health education on disease prevention, medication adherence, nutrition, lifestyle modification, smoking cessation, physical activity, and self-management of chronic diseases.
- Educate patients and caregivers on warning signs, treatment compliance, and long-term management expectations to improve health outcomes and reduce disease-related complications.
- Ensure rational prescribing practices in accordance with the Essential Drug List (EDL), clinical protocols, and available resources within the camp healthcare system.
- Participate in screening, early detection, and prevention activities for non-communicable diseases and associated risk factors within the target population.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely medical records, patient follow-up documentation, and reporting through the designated Health Information System (HIS).
- Contribute to disease surveillance, monitoring indicators, and reporting requirements related to NCD services and public health priorities.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including nurses, pharmacists, nutritionists, mental health staff, health educators, laboratory personnel, and referral teams to ensure integrated patient care.
- Participate in clinical meetings, case discussions, quality improvement initiatives, and mortality/morbidity reviews as required.
- Support the training and mentorship of medical and paramedical staff on NCD management protocols, patient education, and chronic disease care when requested.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control (IPC) standards, patient safety measures, and organizational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain professional ethics, cultural sensitivity, patient confidentiality, and respect for patients’ dignity at all times.
- Participate in emergency response activities, outbreak response support, or additional clinical duties when requested by the medical supervisor or hospital management.

- Family medicine or internal medicine board.
- Jordan medical board or equivalent
- MoH License to practice
