Job Title: NCD Nurse FSR #798
Location: Azraq Camp
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide health education about patient’s current health conditions, disease control, danger signs and follow up, medication use and any measures to be taken in terms of life style modifications and nutrition advice.
- Update the NCD register regularly, including patient’s info (name, date of birth, individual ID. Etc.), in addition to the diagnosis, specific treatment including medication doses and schedule of treatment and finally the dates of assessments.
- Perform physical examination related to NCD disease including vital signs and diabetic foot examination and report to NCD doctor.
- Follow on timing of lab tests needed according to NCD field guidelines and report results to NCD doctor.
- Follow on patients upcoming appointments and identify defaulters to follow with outreach teams (Community health volunteers).
- Supervise the NCD volunteer and the process of files keeping and appointments checking.
- Work as the NCD team focal point for referrals, data collection, and referrals to other services in the camp such as nutrition, mental health, CHW., etc.
- Take basic parameters and perform triage of patients and fill in patient medical records: weight, height, temperature, blood pressure, pulse., etc.
- Ensure patient understanding about drug regimen, health condition and follow up visit.
- Perform other duties as assigned. The duties and responsibilities listed in this document are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and not necessarily comprehensive.
Administrative:
- Assist doctor in filling patient’s medical records for each patient visit
- Assist doctor on filling referral form for any referral case outside of clinic
- Assist in filling and maintaining clinic records as required on timely and accurate manner
- Assist in integration of clinic services and support best quality standards for patients
- Assist with organizing patients flow in the clinit
Training:
- Participate in medical and management trainings as determine by IMC
- Continue self-education to adhere with national/international standards and new advancements in the field of general practice and other relevant medical areas
Others:
- Ensure integration of clinic services and support best quality standards for clientsv
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor degree in Nursing
- Not less than two years of experience
- NGO experience preferable
