Roles & Responsibilities
The Machine Design Engineer role is based in Jordan and reports to the R&D Manager and will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving custom machinery, equipment, assemblies, and components that support Eon Dental s specialized production lines.
This role requires strong mechanical design thinking, hands-on technical understanding, and the ability to translate production challenges into practical engineering solutions. You will work closely with production, maintenance, quality, technology, product, and external vendors to build machines and mechanisms that improve automation, efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
What You'll Do
Design and develop custom machinery, equipment, assemblies, and components to improve automation, efficiency, and scalability across specialized production lines.
Manage machine-design projects from concept to implementation, including technical design, prototyping, testing, validation, and deployment.
Create technical concepts, detailed drawings, and specifications aligned with production requirements, safety standards, and company policies.
Work closely with Production, Maintenance, QA, QC, HSE, Technology, Product, IP, vendors, suppliers, contractors, and external partners to solve operational and design challenges.
Assess and improve existing machinery to enhance performance, reduce downtime, and increase production capacity.
Source materials, components, and technical solutions required for machinery design and production.
Coordinate design changes, machinery modifications, and technical requirements with internal and external stakeholders.
Stay updated on automation, robotics, production technologies, and machine-design trends to identify innovation opportunities.
Support hands-on assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and technical validation when needed.
Adhere to quality and safety procedures, and perform other job-related tasks as assigned by the line manager.
Desired Candidate Profile
What To Bring
Bachelor s degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical / Mechatronics, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
0 4 years of relevant experience in machine design, mechanical design, automation, industrial equipment, or production engineering.
Strong proficiency in CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar design tools.
Ability to develop technical drawings, concepts, specifications, and machine/component designs.
Solid understanding of mechanical components, assemblies, machine mechanisms, and production environments.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, planning, organization, and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, suppliers, contractors, and technical partners.
Knowledge of electronic components, PLC programming, automation, robotics, or production technologies is a strong plus.
Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, tools, wiring, testing, or troubleshooting is a plus.
