Roles & Responsibilities

UNICEF is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data and Systems Management Consultant to oversee and optimize its data management processes and technological infrastructure. This comprehensive role is crucial for ensuring efficient data operations and safeguarding UNICEF's systems against potential threats. The purpose of assignments are:

• Enhance system security by implementing new measures and protocols to protect against potential threats and unauthorized access.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data through auditing and cleansing processes
• Provide support on payment process and system integration with Artificial Intelligence
• Provide support in tracking and monitoring performance issues to optimize system performance and ensure smooth operations, addressing any infrastructure-related challenges that may arise.

Education:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible professional experience in data management, systems administration and security, networking, application development, and Azure cloud computing platforms is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of that experience must be within non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
• Additionally, at least 3 years of hands-on practical experience with Microsoft Azure services (virtual machines, storage, networking, security, application gateways, and hybrid connectivity) is required.

Knowledge/Expertise/Skills:

• Data Management: Deep understanding of database management, data governance principles, auditing, and data privacy regulations.
• Systems Administration & Cloud: Advanced proficiency in Linux and Windows server administration, networking, and system performance optimization, including Microsoft Azure services.
• Application Development: Proven experience in full-lifecycle application development, UI design, and implementing robust application security.
• Cybersecurity: Strong track record of implementing comprehensive security measures, access controls, and compliance standards across systems and applications.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues across data pipelines and server infrastructure.
• Communication: Strong project management and collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives.
