POSITION SUMMARY
Guest rooms and public areas are inspected after cleaning by Housekeepers to ensure quality standards. Sold room reports are run, room status is verified, discrepant rooms are determined, cleaning priorities are set, and the status of departing guest rooms is updated. Assistance is provided to Housekeeping management in managing daily activities. A liaison role is taken to coordinate the efforts of Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry. Issues with discrepant rooms are documented and resolved with the Front Desk. Changes in room assignments are prepared, distributed, and communicated. Issues are communicated to the next shift.
Management support is given in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees. All company and safety and security policies and procedures are followed; maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries are reported; safety training and certifications are completed. Uniform and personal appearance are ensured to be clean and professional; confidentiality of proprietary information is maintained; company assets are protected. All guests are welcomed and acknowledged according to company standards; service needs of guests are anticipated and addressed; individuals with disabilities are assisted; guests are thanked with genuine appreciation. Communication with others is conducted using clear and professional language. Positive working relationships with others are developed and maintained; concerns of other employees are listened to and responded to appropriately. Adherence to quality expectations and standards is ensured. Objects weighing less than or equal to 55 pounds are moved, lifted, carried, and placed without assistance, and those exceeding 55 pounds with assistance. Ability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related machinery over sloping and uneven surfaces is required. Reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping is necessary. Standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking for an extended period across an entire work shift is required. Grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, is essential. Work-related information is entered and located using computers and/or point of sale systems. Information is read and visually verified in a variety of formats (e.g., small print). Other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors are performed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
License or Certification: None
