<p>Aerostat Operators provide Operations and Sustainment (O&S) support for the Persistent Surveillance Systems Tethered (PSS-T) program in OCONUS site locations. PSS-T is comprised of former Persistent Ground Surveillance System (PGSS) and Persistent Threat Detection System (PTDS) programs. Position will require 6-week training TDY to Elizabeth City, South Carolina. Essential Responsibilities: Aerostat Operators/User-level maintainers will participate in the overall, hands-on operation of the aerostat system including launch, in-flight, recovery, and moored activities. Candidates will perform all functions to operate the PGSS/PTDS, an aerostat mounted Intelligence, Surveillance, And Reconnaissance (ISR) platform, its Mobile Mooring Platform (MMP), Sensor Payload(s), communications and navigation systems as well as associated support equipment (Boom Lift, Forklift, All Terrain Vehicles (ATV's), and Electrical Power Generators). <p>Employee will be part of the deployment pool and will be required to support deployments to various CONUS/OCONUS locations, as required. This position will require the member to be flexible in the support of assigned deployment/work schedules.</p>
<p>Member will perform and inspect organizational and intermediate level maintenance and modifications on RPA systems and support equipment, as required. Lastly, this position requires an individual that can apply basic technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting Air Force technical orders, manufacturers’ manuals/instructions or similar documents through the usage of test equipment/instruments to affect repairs.</p>

<p>Aerostat Operators provide Operations and Sustainment (O&S) support for the Persistent Surveillance Systems Tethered (PSS-T) program in OCONUS site locations. PSS-T is comprised of former Persistent Ground Surveillance System (PGSS) and Persistent Threat Detection System (PTDS) programs.
