Org. Setting and Reporting<br>In its resolution 72/279 of 31 May 2018, the General Assembly created a dedicated, impartial empowered and sustainable development-focused coordination function for the United Nations development system, drawing on the expertise and assets of all United Nations development system entities, including specialized and non-resident agencies. The Resident Coordinator system ensures the coordination of all organizations of the United Nations dealing with operational activities for development at the country level, regardless of the nature of their presence in the country. It encompasses the UN Resident Coordinator, the UN Country Team and Resident Coordinator's Office and is served by the UN Development Coordination Office. In line with this General Assembly mandate, the Resident Coordinator (RC) is the highest ranking representative of the United Nations development system (UNDS) at the country level, with the responsibility to lead United Nations country teams, and ensure system-wide accountability on the ground – including through a matrixed dual reporting model - for the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework and coordinating UN support to countries in their implementation of the 2030 Agenda. She/he brings to the role an appreciation of the breadth of assets of the United Nations in the service of sustaining peace. The Resident Coordinator is the designated representative of – and reports to – the Secretary-General. <p>The OSI Analyst works within the multidisciplinary Search Team under the PFL Deputy Protection in Damascus with the OSI Manager in Geneva as his/her functional manager to provide strategic direction to the response to the Syria missing file. In close coordination with the PFL researchers, Forensic expert, and A&E, the OSI Analyst plays a central role in enhancing the Search Team’s response by ensuring that OSI relevant to the Syria caseload is systematically collected, verified, organized, and made available for analysis. This includes both historical data gathered in the aftermath of the fall of the former Syrian government and any new OSI that emerges, with the aim of contributing to the documentation of protection concerns and providing leads and linkage of information to aid the search for missing persons.</p>
<p>S/he contributes to the identification of thematic and geographic priorities for OSI collection, supports the triangulation of findings with internal data, witness accounts, GIS information, and privileged data obtained from external organizations through data sharing agreements. The OSI Analyst ensures that the use of OSI follows a rigorous, ethical, and protection-sensitive methodology.</p>
<p>This position supports the analysis of individual cases and internal data particularly in light of available OSI and privileged external data obtained through data sharing agreements. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying performance bottlenecks, analyzing system behavior under different workloads, and ensuring applications meet client performance expectations before production releases.</p><p><br></p><p><b>What You Will Do</b></p><p>Review and comprehend User Stories, technical requirements, and performance requirements for the assigned projects.</p><p>Work with development, QA, infrastructure, and business teams to understand application architecture and identify performance testing requirements.</p><p>Define performance testing strategies, scenarios, workloads, and acceptance criteria based on business and technical requirements.</p><p>Design, develop, execute, and maintain performance test scripts and scenarios using Tricentis NeoLoad or similar performance testing tools.</p><p>Perform different types of performance testing, including load, stress, endurance, scalability, and volume testing.</p><p>Analyze performance test results and identify bottlenecks related to application, database, API, infrastructure, or network performance.</p><p>Monitor system behavior and key performance indicators during test execution.</p><p>Collaborate with development and technical teams to investigate performance issues and support root-cause analysis.</p><p>Prepare performance test reports and provide clear findings, recommendations, and improvement areas to the client.</p><p>Ensure performance testing is completed within the agreed timelines and project requirements.</p><p>Develop and maintain performance testing plans and support performance validation before production releases.</p><p>Continuously improve performance testing processes, tools, and methodologies.</p><p><b><br></b></p><p><b>What You Will Need</b></p><p>Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field.</p><p>Minimum of 4 years of experience in software testing, with significant hands-on experience in performance testing.</p><p>Strong hands-on experience with performance testing tools, preferably Tricentis NeoLoad.</p><p>Experience designing and executing load, stress, endurance, scalability, and volume tests.</p><p>Strong understanding of performance testing concepts, workload modelling, test planning, and performance analysis.</p><p>Experience with Web and API performance testing.</p><p>Strong understanding of REST APIs and HTTP protocols.</p><p>Experience analyzing performance test results and identifying application and infrastructure bottlenecks.</p><p>Experience with database performance testing and SQL is preferred.</p><p>Experience with monitoring and performance analysis tools is preferred.</p><p>Ability to understand and analyze complex software requirements and technical specifications.</p><p>Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.</p><p>Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.</p><p>Good communication skills and the ability to present technical findings clearly to clients and stakeholders.</p><p>Awareness or knowledge of IT security best practices as defined by ISO/SOC or similar standards.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p>Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field.
