<p >Psychologists play a vital role in understanding and addressing mental and emotional well-being. They assess, contribute to diagnosis, and provide therapy for individuals dealing with psychological challenges. Their responsibilities include conducting assessments, creating treatment plans, offering counseling, implementing therapeutic techniques, and promoting overall mental health and well-being. Psychologists often collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and represent mental health awareness and interventions. They provide guidance and support to help individuals enhance their mental resilience and lead fulfilling lives.</p>

<p ><strong >MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>
<ul >
<li >Provide evidence-based psychological assistance to support clients and their families with mental health and psychosocial issues.</li>
<li >Provide evidence-based psychological interventions and remain up to date on advances in the field of psychology.</li>
<li >Remain up to date with professional development opportunities.</li>
<li >Assist the case management teams in improving forms, care plans, and mapping of community support services.</li>
<li >Take on team coaching and mentoring of team members.</li>
<li >Organize the development of the initial care plan with a focus on any immediate safety concerns.</li>
<li >Participate in case conferences, supervision and training opportunities.</li>
<li >Develop and deliver training for staff on topics relevant to psychological practice, lay counseling, and case management.</li>

<p ><strong >MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS</strong></p>

<li >Master’s degree in clinical psychology, Psychology, Psychological Counseling, or Psychological and Educational Counseling.</li>
<li >At least three (3) years of experience working with NGOs.</li>
<li >Valid and active license to practice psychology in Jordan (mandatory).</li>
<li >At least one (1) year of experience in a similar role.</li>

<strong>1.Role and responsibilities</strong><br>
NRC is implementing a Shelter Programme in Zaatari and Azraq refugee camps in Jordan to improve the living conditions of refugees through the provision of adequate shelter assistance and support to meet their basic needs. The Shelter Technical Assistant is responsible for planning, supervising, and monitoring shelter maintenance and construction activities, ensuring that implementation is completed safely, efficiently, on time, and in accordance with approved technical specifications, quality standards, and NRC procedures.</p>

<strong>Generic responsibilities :</strong><br>

<strong>Specific responsibilities:</strong><br>
These responsibilities shall be adapted to the particularities of the job location and context, phase of operation, strategic focus and type of programme intervention. This section shall be revised whenever a new employee is hired or the context changes significantly.</p>
<p><br>
• Resolves engineering problems by collecting and analyzing information; researching, analyzing, adapting, and modifying engineering techniques; recommending solutions; preparing drawings, schematics, and diagrams; evaluating components, materials, and suppliers; resolving design integration issues; developing specifications and safety standards; performing installations.<br>
• Supervise daily shelter construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation activities to ensure compliance with approved technical specifications, BoQs, safety requirements, and quality standards.<br>
• Monitor the performance of incentive-based volunteers and skilled labourers, ensuring work is completed efficiently and according to agreed schedules.<br>
• Conduct relevant assessments in the camp, including but not limited to caravan repairing assessment.<br>
• Following up with labors and making sure that all requested tasks are done based on the agreed specifications, requirements, quality, and on time.<br>
• Reporting work progress on daily, weekly or monthly basis as it will be agreed with the line manager based on the available workload and based on the nature of the given task.<br>
• Prepare detailed plans for project implementation and ensure follow up and updating of the plan during implementation.<br>
• Prepare material requests, dispatch forms, and quantity estimates based on approved designs and Bills of Quantities (BoQs).<br>
• Immediately report implementation challenges, delays, risks, and technical issues, together with proposed mitigation measures.<br>
• Other functions that might be assigned by the supervisor.</p>
