QMS Development and Maintenance

  • Develop and implement Quality Management Systems (QMS) in compliance with industry standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or ECSS.
  • Maintain and update QMS documentation, including quality manuals, procedures, work instructions, and records.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues.

Audits and Compliance

  • Plan, conduct, and report on internal audits to ensure compliance with QMS and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and support external audits by customers, certification bodies, and regulatory authorities.

Training and Support

  • Provide training to employees on QMS processes, standards, and best practices.
  • Support departments in understanding and applying QMS requirements to their specific areas.

Quality Control and Assurance

  • Oversee quality control processes, including inspection and testing of products to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure quality is integrated into the product development lifecycle.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Collect, analyze, and report on quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to management.
  • Use statistical tools and methodologies to monitor process performance and identify trends.

Customer Interaction

  • Address customer complaints and feedback related to quality, and work with relevant teams to resolve issues.
  • Ensure customer requirements are understood and met throughout the production process.

Regulatory and Standards Compliance

  • Stay updated with relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Ensure QMS is aligned with applicable regulations and standards.

Educational RequirementsBachelor's Degree: In Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is advantageous.Certifications: Relevant certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt are highly desirable.ExperienceIndustry Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a quality management role within the aerospace, manufacturing, automotive, or a related industry.QMS Implementation: Proven experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining Quality Management Systems (QMS).Auditing: Experience conducting internal and external audits in compliance with standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar.Skills and CompetenciesTechnical SkillsQMS Standards: In-depth knowledge of QMS standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, ECSS).Quality Tools: Proficiency in quality management tools and methodologies such as root cause analysis, CAPA, FMEA, and statistical process control (SPC).Software Proficiency: Familiarity with quality management software and tools (e.g., Minitab, SAP Quality Management, or similar).Analytical and Problem-Solving SkillsData Analysis: Strong ability to analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.Problem-Solving: Excellent skills in troubleshooting and resolving quality issues through systematic approaches.Communication and Interpersonal SkillsEffective Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey quality concepts and requirements effectively.Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.Organizational SkillsAttention to Detail: High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in quality documentation and processes.Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.Training and DevelopmentTraining Abilities: Capability to develop and deliver training programs related to QMS standards and quality improvement initiatives.KnowledgeRegulatory Compliance: Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to the company’s operations.Continuous Improvement: Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and best practices in quality management.Physical and Work Environment RequirementsOffice and Manufacturing Environment: Ability to work in both office and manufacturing/production environments, with occasional visits to supplier or customer sites.Travel: Willingness to travel as needed for audits, supplier evaluations, and customer interactions.Additional RequirementsLanguage Proficiency: Proficiency in English; additional language skills may be beneficial depending on the company's global operations.Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing regulatory requirements and evolving industry standards.Professionalism: Demonstrated professionalism and a commitment to maintaining high ethical standards in all activities.
