Job Summary:

The Low Current Pre-Sales Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support to the sales team in order to help them sell low voltage and low current electrical systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in low current systems, with experience in sales and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical assistance to the sales team in the selection and configuration of low-current electrical systems and equipment, including but not limited to structured cabling and network systems, security systems, fire alarm systems, access control systems, CCTV systems, and other low voltage systems.
• Work closely with customers and the sales team to identify and understand customer requirements and propose suitable solutions.
• Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and presentations to customers, including system design, system integration, and project management.
• Conduct site surveys and prepare site assessment reports.
• Work closely with the engineering team to develop and implement technical solutions.
• Provide technical training to the sales team and customers.
• Attend trade shows and other industry events to stay up-to-date with new products and technologies.

Specific tasks related to structured cabling and network systems include:

• Provide technical assistance to the sales team in the selection and configuration of structured cabling and network systems, including copper and fiber cabling, switches, routers, and other network equipment.
• Work closely with customers and the sales team to identify and understand network requirements and propose suitable solutions.
• Prepare network design proposals, quotations, and presentations to customers, including network architecture, network security, and project management.
• Conduct site surveys and prepare site assessment reports for network installations.
• Work closely with the engineering team to develop and implement network solutions.
• Provide technical training to the sales team and customers on network design and installation best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical sales role, preferably in the low voltage and low current systems industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of low voltage and low current systems, including structured cabling and network systems, security systems, fire alarm systems, access control systems, CCTV systems, and other common voltage systems.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong customer service skills with a customer-focused mindset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel locally and occasionally internationally.
