Financial Manager

Job Brief:

We are looking for a reliable Financial Manager that will analyze every day financial activities and subsequently provide advice and guidance to upper management on future financial plans. The goal is to enable the company’s leaders to make sound business decisions and meet the company’s objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Developing and Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.
  2. Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
  3. Develop, implement, modify, and document record keeping and accounting systems using appropriate ERP accounting software
  4. Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take
  5. Assist management in financial decisions.
  6. Maintain the financial health of the organization.
  7. Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.
  8. Develop and oversee a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting and ensure availability of funds as needed
  9. Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs
  10. Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
  11. Develop a well-structured finance department, oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.
  12. Cooperate with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
  13. Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.

Requirements and skills:

  1. Proven experience as a Financial Manager in a manufacturing sector
  2. 10+ years of financial management experience.
  3. BS/MA degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  4. Professional qualification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus
  5. Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
  6. Proficient user of ERP finance software and databases (e.g. SAP)
  7. Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  8. Comfortable interacting with all levels of management in multiple areas.
  9. Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
  10. A solid understanding of financial statistics and IFRS
  11. Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
