Organizational Development Assistant

 

 

SEGURA Consulting is a consortium partner on the Jordan Economic Reform Activity Task Order 1 (ERA) led by Chemonics. SEGURA is recruiting a full-time Organizational Development Assistant to support the organizational development and capacity building activities, and develop a culture of continual assessment and improvement, and sustainable reforms.
 

BACKGROUND  

ERA is a 5-year, $54 million program funded by USAID, which aims to support the Government of Jordan (GOJ) to prioritize and implement economic reforms. Through coordination with the GOJ, the Jordanian and international private sector, other donors, and Jordanian civil society, ERA will (1) advance economic reforms, (2) strengthen the business enabling environment, (3) increase exports and local, regional, and international investments, and (4) respond to emerging priorities. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES   

  • Assist with research and analysis in performing an annual/bi-annual institutional capacity needs assessment to determine the level of improvement of each counterpart’s organizational capacity and performance and the achieved results.
  • Coordinate the implementation of counterparts organizational restructuring plans and initiatives that aligns with the organization’s strategic objectives, improve efficiency, streamlining of operations, and advances economic reforms.
  • Support the technical advisors and consultants to develop strategic plans, business processes, and performance improvement interventions.
  • Participate in organizational structures analysis to help in designing new organizational models and structures, functional descriptions and job descriptions.
  • Compile and maintain data on institutional development activities and progress.
  • Draft correspondence, presentations, and reports related to institutional development interventions.
  • Support the coordination of workshops, training sessions, and meetings related to institutional development.
  • Conduct online research to identify best practices and resources for institutional development.
  • Participate in the development of the counterparts’ strategic plans in coordination with the relevant component.
  • Draft technical scope of work and the relevant sections of the annual work, monthly reports, quarterly reports, and other needed reports as directed by the institutional development team lead.
  • Operate with integrity and assurance of confidentiality, commitment to excellence, and compliance with all USAID rules and regulations, contractual requirements, and Chemonics policies, systems, and values.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Institutional Development Team Leader.
     

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS   

  • Bachelor’s degree in public sector management, public administration, engineering, or another relevant field.
  • Two to four years of experience in organizational and institutional development, project management, and capacity building, preferably with public sector organizations.
  • Familiarity with Jordan’s operating environment.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work with culturally diverse staff.
  • Strong Arabic and English communication skills (oral and written).

LOCATION OF ASSIGNMENT  
The Organizational Development Assistant will be based in the project’s office in Amman, Jordan.
