Business Innovation & Growth Director

Role Objectives:

  • Oversee and implement innovative changes to enhance competitiveness and growth.
  • Develop strategies to penetrate regional markets and drive transformational initiatives.
  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships to establish a strong regional market presence and drive revenue growth.
  • Analyze regional trends and competitive landscape to inform business forecasting and strategies.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the CEO to deliver high-quality value and services.
  • Develop new business opportunities in line with the organization's regional expansion plan.
  • Lead business planning and development efforts to secure funding, grants, and major donations.
  • Implement sales strategies that leverage market insights, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence.
  • Lead high-performing marketing and sales plans to exceed revenue targets within the designated region.
  • Oversee innovation projects and coordinate with the R&D unit to align with the organization's mission and vision.
  • Develop comprehensive go-to-market strategies for product launches.
  • Identify and establish partnerships, collaborations, or acquisitions to enhance access to innovative initiatives.
  • Identify new market opportunities and develop successful market entry and expansion strategies.
  • Evaluate risks, challenges, and opportunities associated with regional expansion efforts.
  • Build solid relationships with clients and potential clients through visits, follow-up calls, and social networking.
  • Promote a culture of innovation across all organizational units.
  • Attend meetings, conferences, and exhibitions to explain, clarify, and negotiate the organization's products, services, and packages.
  • Ensure signed contracts are communicated to all relevant parties for proper interpretation and implementation.

Skills and Core Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of the challenges facing the region and key programmatic or technical areas of the organization’s strategic focus.
  • Extensive knowledge of funding procedures and requirements of key foundations and international donors.
  • Strong analytical skills in market analysis, business opportunity assessment, and competitor analysis.
  • Excellent diplomatic skills and success in facilitating negotiations with partner organizations and donors.
  • Proven experience in business development, including business planning, proposal development, and partnership development.
  • Success in soliciting and securing grant and contract awards from government, foundation, and private donors.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments with competing priorities and challenging deadlines.
  • Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams in competitive bidding processes.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and motivate others, build relationships, and solve problems.
  • Strategic management and business planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic.
