A leading Industrial company specialized in furniture & wood manufacturing is seeking to hire Procurement Manager:
Responsibilities:
- Oversee procurement operations, sourcing high-quality materials and equipment.
- Negotiate favorable terms and prices with suppliers to maximize value for the company.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships, ensuring reliable and timely deliveries.
- Collaborate with project and estimation managers to forecast material needs and plan accordingly.
- Enhance the current purchasing system to improve vendor relationships, reduce business costs, and expedite order turnaround times.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial / Architectural / Civil) or business administration, Supply Chain, or related field. 4 - 8 years of experience with at least 3 years in a similar role as a Purchasing Manager within the Manufacturing Industry.
- Experience in purchasing in Wooden Industry is highly preferred.
- Professional certification in Purchasing & Supply will be an added advantage.
- A knack for negotiating.
- Analytical thinker who can work independently with minimal oversight, and the ability to make evidence-based decisions.
- A focused and cost-conscious mindset is crucial consistently verifying to secure the best product deals and being willing to initiate returns when necessary.
