Greening strategy:
Acted’s greening strategy aims to tackle environmental degradation and climate change while meeting the needs of the most vulnerable who are often those most affected by the deepening environmental crisis. Each Acted employee will adhere to these principles through key green programming responsibilities:

• Encouraging and promoting environmental safeguarding processes and environmental programming standards in accordance with SOPs and technical guideline notes
Acted PSEAH Policy:
The Procurement Officer has the responsibility to adhere to the PSEAH Policy (Protection against Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment). Procurement Officer has the obligation to complete all mandatory trainings related to the Code of Conduct and the PSEA policy and report any safeguarding concern such as breaches of organizational policies or codes of conduct according to Acted’s procedures. Procurement Officer carries out work duties in a way that does not harm children, vulnerable adults or other staff or volunteers.

Functions and Responsibilities of the driver:
1: General Responsibilities
· To transport ACTED staff from Amman to North office as part of ACTED Shuttle .
· To transport ACTED staff within all the cities, camps, and districts in which ACTED is operating;
· Update regularly the log-book for each trip (km start - km stop - hour departure time - hour arrival to destination, etc.); Keep your logbook clean and without many written errors/mistakes;
· fill out the mileage log and write down the display meter mileage;
· To provide a true and fair report of the covered distances and used fuel to the Logistic officer;
· To request passengers to fill in and sign the log book for each trip (km start - km stop - hour departure time - hour arrival to destination);
· To strictly refrain from using the vehicle for private needs or for the transportation of persons not involved in ACTED activities;
· To keep the vehicle clean by washing the chassis weekly and cleaning the inside of the vehicle daily;
· perform any related duties are performed as and when requested.
2: Passenger Safety
·Take care of the safety and security of the passengers and make sure the seat belts are fastened by both driver and passenger(s) while seated;
· Respect traffic speed limits/rules while driving all the time. Failing to do so can lead to immediate dismissal;
· To decrease speed when necessary like when: passing in front of the school, when animals are visible crossing the road, playground, villages, etc;
· Check regularly the “first aid kits” and fire extinguishers inside the vehicle and report any problem to the Logistics department;
· To obtain a security clearance before departure to the field or another base;
· In case of any accidents, due to ignorance of traffic rules and or high speed, the driver will be responsible in front of ACTED and the party who has received possible damages;
· To be responsible for following security restrictions while traveling (e.g. curfew, avoiding restricted areas);
· To be responsible for in-time communication with security or logistic department to inform his and passengers’ location if need it.
· To have all the necessary contact information in his vehicles (phone contact, Emergency contact list)
· Load and unload the vehicle; properly and place items inside the vehicle with care and safety measurement;
· Note: Failing to follow any of the safety rules has an immediate reaction as consequence including dismissal.
3: Technical Responsibilities
· Report immediately any technical failure of the vehicle to the Transport focal point in the Logistics department;
· Undertake a check and control of the vehicle on daily basis before starting the engine;
· Report any defect in the vehicle to the Logistic Officer/ Transport Officer without delays;
· To maintain his vehicle in a good condition ;
· To carry weekly check of the vehicle and wash his vehicle chassis weekly;
· To check and keep with care the tools, the tool-box and other materials of the vehicle;
· To perform minor maintenance to his car when needed (fixing/changing flat tires);
· Check the spare tire of the vehicle is in good condition ;
· If on a long mission, ensure to have enough fuel, additional spare tires, and tools
· To park vehicles at designated and approved locations only.
