Job Title: Trainer - Training on RMNCH (Reproductive Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health) for UNRWA Medical Staff FSR# 619

BACKGROUND

By offering training and health care to local populations and medical assistance to people at highest risk, and with the flexibility to respond rapidly to emergency situations, International Medical Corps rehabilitates devastated health care systems and helps bring them back to self-reliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND SERVICES

Develop the training curriculum, PPT presentations, handouts.
Develop training methodology.
Develop training schedules and activities.
Training duration 3 full working days 9 am – 4 pm. [Training will last a total of 19 days]
- Training modules on the following RMNCH topics:
1. Antenatal
Delivery of antenatal care package (care during pregnancy birth preparedness for safe delivery and emergency planning.
Danger sign of pregnancy and tracking of high-risk pregnancies.
Obstetrical evaluation at 36 weeks of gestation and preparedness.
Antenatal screening and follow up visits.
Counseling on prevention of anemia during pregnancy.
Post abortion care.
2. Postnatal
Counselling for post-partum family planning and post-partum IUCD insertion.
Support during labor and childbirth.
Care of the mother after birth and newborn during puerperium.
Counselling during pregnancy – general care, birth preparedness and complications, readiness, danger signs, for anemic women.
Prevention and management of sexually transmitted and reproductive tract infections (STI/RTI)
Facility based maternal and newborn care.
Maternal nutrition.
Emergency referral pathways for obstetric complications.
Promotion of child spacing methods (interval IUCD) including emergency contraception.
Prevention of Accidental Exposure to Blood (AEB) and Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP).
Adolescence health services.
- Compile attendance, pre and post training test and training evaluation by the participants.
- Training certificates.
- Write training report.
