ORGANISATIONAL PURPOSE:

The post holder will undertake the appropriate level of training and is responsible for ensuring that they understand and work within the safeguarding policies of the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide necessary support in beneficiaries’ selection and contracting as needed and participate in panel interviews upon the Line Manager request.
  • Lead the project hard & soft archiving system.
  • Maintain and keep beneficiaries lists for any related necessary information
  • In close coordination with the livelihood officer prepare and process all kinds of paperwork for all beneficiaries as required, with accuracy and confidentiality and in accordance with the policies
  • Provide support to the project officer regarding vocational trainings and all project activities.
  • Assist the project officer to ensure that all the documents for project activities are in place.
  • Maintain a Database for the beneficiaries to check cash activities to keep track of the payments.
  • Organize weekly and Monthly Project Meetings at the project site. Sharing Agenda of the meeting with the staff, recording minutes of meetings and sharing with the participants on timely manner.
  • Carry out and explain the activities to the beneficiaries to ensure they understand the project objectives.
  • Prepare and update all necessary documents on daily basis without delay
  • Conduct regular site visits to the project activities: home- based businesses.
  • Participate and actively contribute to rapid need assessments in the area.
  • Fully comply with IRJ safety and security procedures and provide input to security monitoring and assessments to enable and promote a safe and secure environment for program implementation
  • Provide the lists of beneficiaries and breakdown to the MEAL department.
  •  Reporting to the Livelihood Officer.
  • Any other duties as agreed with the supervisor.

 

Required Qualification:

  • At least one year Experience in humanitarian sector/development sector, Livelihood and Food Security sector is preferred.
  • University degree or equivalent in Finance, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Psychology, agricultural engineering or a related field.
  • Experience working with refugees – highly preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills & abilities

  • Excellent detail-orientation skills;
  • Thorough working knowledge of office systems. Computer aptitude and experience with word processing and database management.
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with colleagues,
  • Emotional maturity and ability to deal with matters of strict confidentiality;
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills;
  • Good command English, spoken and written;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including patience, diplomacy, willingness to listen and respect for colleagues. Must be capable of working both individually and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
  • Must be flexible, willing to perform other duties, and work irregular hours.
