Job Title: MHPSS Officer - Consultant FSR # 655

Location: Amman

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Supervision and Support: Provide ongoing supervision and mentorship to fellowship participants, ensuring adherence to program objectives and psychosocial support best practices.
  • Training Development: Develop and implement comprehensive training materials for one designated training day within the fellowship program.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit required reports to the donor, detailing program progress, participant feedback, and outcomes achieved. As well as maintaining accurate documentation of all fellowship-related activities and communications.
  • Evaluation skills: assess participant performance following the supervision sessions by using an evaluation tool prepared. 
  • Communication Management: Plan, manage, and oversee all communication activities with the IMC team, ensuring timely updates and information sharing. As well as facilitating regular meetings and discussions to enhance collaboration among team members and stakeholders.

Minimum Recuirments:

  • A master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling or relevant field. 
  • 3+ years of experience in providing supervision and training sessions.
  • Desirable experience with NGOs working in the humanitarian or development field.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic, spoken and written. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with people inside and outside of the organization, and to manage working relationships diplomatically. 

Deliverables:

  • Join all meetings with Americares and partners regarding building the material of the training and proceed accordingly based on meetings suggestion and action plan.
  • Meeting with the MHPSS workers involved in the fellowship to provide supervision sessions as agreed on the concept note which should be minimum 7 Sessions.
  • Develop a training manual for half a training day.
  • Be a part of developing a participant workbook that includes key training topics to distribute to participants as a handout.
  • Attend all training days and provide technical support
  • Support in facilitating the second training day (body & mind, breathing exercise + TBD)
  • Prepare all needed printings for the 4 training days in person training and follow up with IMC Team on logistic support.
  • Provide supervision sessions for a group of the fellowship participants.
  • Fill out the survey after each supervision session to document the main discussed topics and used activities.
  • Support in facilitating a final in-person 3 hours’ session including the graduation ceremony and career kit for fellowship graduates. 
  • Reporting and include success stories of fellowship based on partner and donor agreement and format.
