• Supervisor: The incumbent of this post reports to the Area Health Officer (AHO) and receives technical guidance from Field Disease Control Officer (FDCO).
• Supervisees: Not applicable.
Responsibilities:
- Undertakes regular visits to UNRWA health centres according to a rotating working schedule in coordination with the FDCO.in order to examine, treat and follow up on patients referred to by Medical Officers using appointment system. Additionally, the incumbent is responsible to examine, treat, and follow up urgent cases referred by the MOs within the same day.
- Maintains records of patients on the electronic medical records (EMR) system and provides statistical data and relevant information on such patients to the Field Office on monthly/ Quarterly basis.
- Plans and directs the in-service training of Medical Officers on the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases in coordination with the Field Disease Control Officer
- Maintains an effective system of referral, and feedback within the health centre and from contracted and government hospitals and refers refugee patients through hospitalization management system.
- Ensures that equipment and supplies are maintained, and techniques are performed in accordance with standard Agency procedures.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Education:
- A university degree in medicine from a recognized university including an internship of at least twelve-month duration.
- An advanced degree in internal Medicine or cardiology specialty.
Job Specific Qualifications :
- You are required to have a valid license to practice medicine as Internist/cardiology in the country of duty station (where applicable).
Work Experience :
- You are required to have a minimum of six years of progressively responsible experience in medicine including two years' experience in internal medicine/cardiology after obtaining degree in this discipline.
- You are required to have a valid license to practice medicine as Internist/cardiology in the country of duty station (where applicable).
- A university degree in medicine from a recognized university including an internship of at least twelve-month duration is required.
- You are required to have an advanced degree in internal Medicine or cardiology specialty.
- Are you currently residing in Duty Station. It is required that you specify your current location.

Special Notice :
Type of Contract:
Fixed-Term Appointment for 3 years including 1 year probation period, with the possibility of further extension, subject to the availability of funds, satisfactory performance and continuing need
Grade and Salary:
Grade HL08, Monthly Salary: JD 1822.500 fils. Special Occupational Allowance (15%) of basic salary. (SOA may change from time to time)
Other benefits:
Other benefits include Provident Fund contribution (15.4% of basic salary paid by the Agency), compulsory medical insurance, 36 days of annual leave, and dependency allowance is subject to eligibility (if applicable).
Additional Benefits:
- 2.4 days of sick leave for each completed month of service.
- 14 weeks of maternity leave.
- 2 weeks of paternity leave.
