As a Panel Beater you will be responsible for repairing vehicle bodywork and ensuring that all vehicles are returned to their original condition after accidents or damage.
You will work on a variety of vehicle makes and models and should have experience in vehicle restoration, including dent removal, panel replacement, and surface repair.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess damage to vehicle panels and bodywork, identifying repair requirements.
- Remove damaged panels and components, replacing or repairing them as necessary.
- Straighten, realign, and smooth out vehicle frames and structures using specialist equipment.
- Fill in imperfections and dents using appropriate materials.
- Prime and prepare surfaces for painting, ensuring smooth, high-quality finishes.
- Collaborate with mechanics and paint technicians to ensure vehicles are returned in top condition.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the workshop.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Panel Beater or vehicle body repair technician.
- Extensive knowledge of vehicle bodywork and panel beating techniques.
- Experience with a wide range of vehicle brands and models.
- Ability to use specialized equipment such as hydraulic jacks, pulling tools, and welding machines.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced, multi-brand service center.
- driving license
