This is to announce that Amman delegation has a vacancy for a Storekeeper (Warehouse Officer 2) at Amman Warehouse/ Logistics.
- Executes simple tasks which require no specific qualifications under supervision.
- Assists in handling current store-keeping activities for ICRC medium/Large operation and/or for specific sectors including store organization.
- Geographical Merit: Local
RELATIONSHIPS
• Internally, interacts with the Warehouse staff and the other logistic staff.
• Externally interacts with service providers and the drivers.
General Duties:
- Be aware of the delegation’s objectives and activities.
- Understand the three components of the Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement
- Always apply the security rules
- Respect and observe the staff regulations of the ICRC in Jordan.
- The employee may be asked to perform other duties not covered in this job description as well as to provide support to other departments when and if necessary.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Warehousing Responsibilities
- Handling in loading and offloading trucks according ICRC progress, with a good aarrangement the stack inside warehouse under supervises the other storekeepers.
- Physical present on Off-Loading the incoming shipments process, to check the contents against the delivery note or the supplier documents regard quality and quantity, and to report any discrepancies or damages once discovered.
- Physical present on the loading of the outgoing shipments process, and to make sure that goods are loaded correctly regard the quality and quantity.
- Pick and pack the orders according to the Pre-Packing List provided by the storekeeper, taking into consideration the FIFO/FEFO rule during the process, and to inform the storekeeper to amend the picking if there’s any different on the mentioned figures on PPL regard the quantity, location or the condition of the goods.
- Reduce the wasting of the packing materials, by using proper materials and avoiding repacking as much as possible.
- Labeling the dispatch shipments upon the end of the preparation stage, which will be provided by the storekeeper, and to make sure that it contains the correct figures (Number of parcels, Weight, Dimensions, Order Number, Destination Address)
- Update the Bin-Cards or stock card upon any inventory transaction.
- Participate on the inventory count whenever held, Monthly, Quarterly or Yearly.
- Supervising the loaders or the daily workers activities.
- Move the prepared and packed shipments to the dispatch area, and sort the area based on the type of the goods (Ortho Materials, IT, Administration Etc.) and by the destination.
- Check the Outgoing shipments against Warehouse internal PL and move it from Dispatch location to the loading location, with complete separation from the other shipments, avoiding any possible mixing might confuse the loaders.
- Ensure that each stock item has a label put-in on the carton on a clear spot, and to make sure that label reflecting and mentioned the correct information such item code, location, Lot Number, Expiry Date, Manufacturer, Batch No. and PO, and to inform the storekeeper to update or change the label if there is difference found.
- Keep warehouse area clean (before and after operations).
- To unsure loading is done into clean trucks, trailers or containers.
- Keep the stacks, rails and shelves clean from dust and any kind of dirt.
- Maintains warehouse equipment’s, tools and materials that used in packing (nylon wrapping, scotch tape, wooden pallets, carton boxes, forklift, and hand pallet jacks).
- Ensure proper storage and stacking to avoid collapse of stacks that may cause injury to personnel and damage to property.
- To replace absent colleagues as required.
- To proper stacking on unbroken pallets to avoid rearing of the items packing that would cause exposure or spillage.
Quality Control Responsibilities
- Is responsible for keeping the quality-control area, sample room and equipment clean and safe (identification and inventory list).
- Plans, coordinates, and records the results of measurements, examinations, tests and gauging of items to ensure that the minimum quality requirements are met; performing measurements personally where needed, releases the Quality reports within 48 working hours (Two working days) etc.
- Uses standard quality-control documents to ensure that quality testing is undertaken and that accurate findings are relayed to the Quality Officer and the Quality Technician.
- Ensures adequate control of nonconforming products.
- Prepare the Loading/Offloading Supervision Reports upon the movement of the cargo.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED
• Certifications / Education required.
- Similar work experience desirable
- Basic knowledge of English
- Good physical condition
Professional Experience required.
- 1-year previous experience in Warehousing
- Good knowledge of Warehousing operations
- Forklift Driving License is preferred.
