The USAID-funded Water Efficiency and Conservation Activity (USAID/WEC), project in Jordan, implemented by Tetra Tech International Development (www.tetratech.com/intdev) is currently accepting expressions of interest for a Human Resources Coordinator. This position is limited duration agreement LTTA and for a period of twelve months, based in Amman.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Logistics and Administrative Manager, the Human Resources Coordinator is primarily responsible for facilitating and following up on the daily operations of HR activities related to the Internship Program. This includes, but is not limited to, managing the recruitment cycle, overseeing onboarding processes, and ensuring compliance with program policies and procedures. The role also involves maintaining accurate and organized intern records in both electronic and hard copy formats.

In addition, the HR Coordinator supports broader HR tasks, including coordination with the WEC technical team and external stakeholders, while providing general HR support. Other responsibilities may be assigned by the Logistics and Administrative Manager as needed.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

  • Analyze, plan, and execute the recruitment process for the internship program, including preparing job advertisements, screening applications, conducting interviews, and coordinating nominations to meet WEC project needs.
  • Establish and maintain accurate interns’ personnel management records and files, ensuring compliance with Tetra Tech policies and procedures
  • Monitor and review interns' monthly timesheets, ensuring timely submission to the finance department
  • Participate in all interviews and maintain records including resumes, scoring sheets and interview results.
  • Prepare contracts for interns, monitor expiration dates, contract evaluation, monitor expiration dates, and communicate with Logistics and Admin Manager to ensure proper closure in the salesforce system.
  • Support the Logistics and Administrative Manager in recruitment processes for Long-Term Technical Assistance (LTTA) and Short-Term Technical Assistance (STTA) positions.
  • Coordinate and follow up on the preparation, progress, and completion of internal and external training plans for interns
  • Coordinate with the Logistics and Administrative Manager to track due dates and ensure the submission of annual employee performance appraisals as well as interns’ pre and post-performance evaluations.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A university degree in Industrial Engineering, Human Resources Management, Business Administration or similar field is required.
  • Three years of relevant work experience including experience in an equivalent position in human resources. If no Bachelor’s degree then eight years of relevant work experience is required.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and professional skills, coupled with strong technical expertise in human resources management.
  • Outstanding interpersonal abilities, enabling effective collaboration with the project’s technical team, leadership, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates integrity, diplomacy, and respect, with a willingness to listen and foster constructive relationships.
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced and high-pressure environments while maintaining flexibility and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Dedicated to completing tasks promptly and contributing to the achievement of project objectives, including taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in Arabic and English
