JOB TITLE: Supply Chain Coordinator

TEAM/PROGRAMME: Supply Chain Team              POST TYPE: National

External representation and communications: Level (3) Contacts that require the exchange of detailed explanations or discussions on matters concerning policies, regulations, programs, and services and representation of SCJ at the local level or with mid-level counterparts within the relevant organization. Moderate impact on the reputation and performance of the organization 

CHILD SAFEGUARDING: Level (3) – the responsibilities of the post may require the post holder to have regular contact with or access to children or young people

ROLE PURPOSE: To implement the Supply Chain function in the Save the Children Jordan Main Office. This role will manage Supply Chain duties and will support the procurement, warehousing and Supply Chain planning - Fleet and on the best use of Save the Children’s resources.

SCOPE OF ROLE: Reports to: Supply Chain and Admin Team Leader

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Supply Chain Management: Support the Supply Chain department and streamline the management of procurement, vehicle fleets, warehouses, and assets to support program delivery effectively.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to Save the Children's procurement procedures and country policies, briefing and supporting staff as necessary.Implement appropriate supply chain standards and procedures.
  • Vendor Relations: Conduct market surveys and create a vendor roster.
  • Operations Management: Support in coordinating all supply chain and procurement services. Maintain professional relationships with suppliers and support internal controls.
  • Transport and Fleet Management: Support the fleet Coordinator with needed tasks related to the fleet management.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain organized procurement files and communicatesecurity issues. Promote safe driving practices and compliance with speed limits.
  • Stock Management: Support in the tasks related to the stock management, ensuring transparent and efficient handling of materials from suppliers to end users, and monitoring all warehousing transactions. ·
  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as delegated by the Supply Chain and Admin Team Leader to ensure comprehensive workload coverage.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3-4 years of experience in Supply Chain Management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or any other related field.
  • Experience in all technical areas of Supply Chain Management.
  •  Experience of developing / implementing a complex international supply chain to support different types of programs and coordinating resources to meet the program objectives.
  • Experience of working in remote field bases with limited infrastructure.
  • Ability to synthesize and analyze complex information, and make clear, informed decisions
  • Ability to build relationships quickly with a wide range of people, both internally and externally.
  • Excellent planning, management and coordination skills, with the ability to organize a substantial workload comprised of complex, diverse tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong communication (written and spoken), and interpersonal skills in English and Arabic.
