Senior Engineer - WAJ Technology

Location: Amman, Jordan

We're seeking a talented Senior Engineer to join our growing team in Amman. As a key technical contributor to our product, you'll work independently to build and scale our product.

What You'll Do:

• Develop and maintain core platform features across web (Next.js) and mobile (Flutter)
• Architect solutions that scale across our multi-country operation
• Collaborate with the tech leadership team while driving independent technical decisions
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical strategy
• Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and security best practices

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with remote teams is essential.

Skills

• Strong proficiency in Flutter, React or Next JS
• 3+ years of software engineering experience with proven ability to work autonomously
• Experience building scalable software platforms and RESTful APIs
• Solid understanding of database design, cloud infrastructure, and deployment pipelines
• Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to own features from conception to deployment
