Role Purpose
The role will primarily involve managing all community mobilization and engagement activities in the camp, including oversight of the hotline and feedback mechanism. These activities complement the operation and maintenance of water and sanitation systems in Aa Camp. The role also requires coordination with UNICEF partners and other stakeholders.
Functions / Key Results Expected
Under the Supervision of the WASH Officer.
The Community Mobilization and Monitoring Associate is expected to fulfill the following tasks and responsibilities:
•Contribute to the operation of the water network and wastewater management/desludging by providing the needed community engagement planning, coordination, and support on field level.
• Follow up WASH partners and contractors on the water supply schedules and report any delays or issues from the community to the engineers and operators.
•Manage UNICEF WASH hotline operations, supervise the hotline team, and provide monthly reports.
•Support the development of the WASH complaints referral system, including team rotations, training, and daily follow-up.
•Coordinate with the Community Accountability Team and hotline to address any complaints from the community and contribute to solving any concerns regarding the established methods and mechanisms where community can register complaints.
•Coordinate with the Makani and Education teams in Azraq and facilitate coordination for activity rollout.
•Support WASH -SBC implementing partner to develop activity plans and activities monitoring tools.
•Support the implementing partner in developing all community messages awareness messages, and other awareness material for social media awareness, under the guidance of the supervisor. - Plan and coordinate with WASH implementing partners on WASH campaigns and global events under the guidance of the supervisor.
•Coordinate with the WASH sector working group in Azraq camp on all community engagement events and activities on field level.

Education Requirements
Required:
Secondary School with Minimum 6 years’ experience in the field.
Desired:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Social Science, or any relevant degree.
Experience Requirements
Required:
At least six years of experience in community mobilization and monitoring with secondary education.
Desired:
2 years of experience in community mobilization and monitoring with bachelor’s degree in areas required.
Experience working in humanitarian settings and familiarity with the provision of services in refugee camps are considered asset.
Experience with UN or INGOs in Jordan is considered an asset.
