Roles & Responsibilities

Job purpose: We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate enterprise-grade cloud platforms primarily on Microsoft Azure. The role focuses on cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes platforms, API management, DevOps automation, security, networking, and platform services that enable scalable, secure, and reliable application delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Azure technologies and a solid understanding of modern platform engineering, cloud-native architectures, and operational excellence practices.

Key Responsibilities

Azure Infrastructure & Platform Engineering

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Manage Azure subscriptions, resource groups, networking, and governance.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Ensure platform reliability, availability, performance, and security.

API Management & Integration

• Design, implement, and manage Azure API Management (APIM).
• Configure API gateways, routing, policies, authentication, authorization, and rate limiting.
• Support API lifecycle management, monitoring, and governance.
• Enable secure integration between internal and external services.

Kubernetes & Container Platform

• Deploy, manage, and optimize Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Configure and maintain NGINX Ingress Controller.
• Manage container networking, ingress, scaling, and security.
• Support cloud-native and microservices-based applications.

DevOps & Automation

• Build and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage pipeline templates, variable groups, libraries, and release processes.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational workflows.
• Implement DevSecOps and GitOps best practices.

Security & Identity Management

• Manage Microsoft Entra ID applications, service principals, and managed identities.
• Implement secrets, certificates, and key management using Azure Key Vault.
• Apply security controls, governance policies, and compliance standards.
• Support identity and access management across platform services.

Networking

• Design and support Azure networking components including:
• Virtual Networks (VNets)
• Subnets
• Network Security Groups (NSGs)
• Private Endpoints
• Load Balancers
• Application Gateway
• DNS and Traffic Management
• Troubleshoot connectivity, performance, and security-related issues.

Platform Services Administration

• Manage and support Azure services including:
• Azure Redis Cache
• Azure SQL
• Azure Database for PostgreSQL
• Azure Cosmos DB
• Azure Functions
• Azure App Service Plans
• Azure Service Bus
• Azure Storage Accounts
• Azure API Management
• Azure Key Vault

Monitoring & Reliability

• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.
• Support platform reliability, incident response, and operational excellence.
• Participate in capacity planning, performance tuning, and root cause analysis.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 4+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or DevOps.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience managing Azure API Management (APIM) and API Gateway solutions.
• Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Kubernetes administration.
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking and security services.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline development.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates).
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Azure Key Vault.
• Strong troubleshooting and operational support skills.
