Arab Model Schools is seeking a dedicated and inspiring English Teacher to join our Middle School faculty. Responsibilities:

• Curriculum & Instruction: Develop and deliver engaging English Language Arts lessons aligned with school standards, tailored to the developmental and academic needs of upper middle school students.
• Core Skills Development: Teach advanced skills in critical reading, literary analysis, essay writing (argumentative, expository, and narrative), complex grammar, vocabulary expansion, and public speaking.
• Diverse Learning Styles: Use a variety of differentiated teaching strategies and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and academic abilities.
• Higher-Order Thinking: Encourage critical thinking, analytical reasoning, creativity, and articulate communication in both verbal and written forms.
• Assessment & Tracking: Design, administer, and assess diverse formative and summative evaluations to rigorously track and support student progress.
• Classroom Culture: Foster a classroom environment that promotes mutual respect, intellectual curiosity, and active participation.
• Tech Integration: Seamlessly integrate educational technology and digital learning tools to enhance teaching, collaborative projects, and student learning experiences.
• Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular, professional communication with parents to provide constructive updates on student progress and collaboratively address concerns.
• Collaboration: Partner with colleagues and department heads to plan cross-curricular initiatives, vertically align the curriculum, and share best practices.
• Exam Preparation: Prepare students for school-wide, standardized, or departmental assessments where applicable.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of teaching experience, specifically within an upper middle school or early secondary school setting (Grades 7–9).
• Language Proficiency: Near-native or native-level command of the English language with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Pedagogical Knowledge: Strong familiarity with modern teaching strategies, adolescent development, and secondary-level curriculum design.
• Learning Environment: Proven ability to create a positive, student-centered, inclusive, and academically rigorous learning environment.
• Classroom Management: Excellent classroom management, organizational, and time-management skills suited for managing teenage learners.
• Digital Literacy: Proficiency in integrating educational technology, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and digital tools into daily lessons.
  • Plus: Strong knowledge of Google products and hands-on experience with Google Workspace for Education (e.g., Google Classroom, Docs, Slides, Forms) is highly desirable.
