Accountant

The accountant provides support to department activities with specific responsibility for the processing, recording, updating and reconciling fiscal information in compliance with established policies.

The responsibilities in the Payables department include reconciling supplier accounts, preparing aging schedules for due invoices, issuing checks or cash payments monthly, and delivering payments to supplier representatives. In Billing, tasks involve issuing invoices for spare parts and extra projects, compiling reports for clients detailing charges and supporting documents, sending invoices and statements, and maintaining records in accounting software. Other duties include photocopying billing-related documents, managing departmental filing, verifying engineer-submitted invoice summaries, assisting in inventory counts, and overseeing departmental courier services.

Requirements:
• BA in accounting
• 0 – 2 years of experience
• Knowledge of standard accounting policies, procedures and practices
