Overview:We are seeking a skilled Web Development & SEO Specialist to build, maintain, and optimize websites while implementing SEO best practices from the ground up. This role works closely with the website and SEO teams to improve site performance, visibility, and user experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple websites efficiently.

Responsibilities Build, update, and maintain websites (e.g., Word Press, Webflow, or similar platforms) Ensure websites are SEO-friendly in structure, speed, and performance Implement on-page SEO best practices (meta tags, headings, internal linking, content optimization) Collaborate with SEO and content teams to align development with search strategy Optimize site speed, mobile responsiveness, and overall UXConduct basic technical SEO checks (indexing, crawlability, broken links, redirects) Troubleshoot website and SEO-related issues Support ongoing improvements and updates across multiple sites
Requirements5-7 years of combined experience in website development and SEOStrong experience with website builders/CMS (Word Press preferred) Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals and technical SEOBasic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and website performance optimization Familiarity with SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, etc.) Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Must-Have:Local SEO experience, especially working with location-based or service-area businesses (e.g., Google Business Profiles, local landing pages, local schema, multi-location sites)
Nice to Have:Knowledge of schema markup and Core Web Vitals Experience with site migrations or redesigns Understanding of AI, LLMs, and modern search concepts such as AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and GEORecent experience (within the last 2 years) applying AI or LLM concepts to SEO workflows Experience working with cross-functional teams (SEO, content, marketing, dev)
Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional pay rate is based on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.
