Scope and Objectives

Kaizen, A Tetra Tech Company is seeking a Communications consultant to provide specialized communications support to enhance the documentation of success stories, reporting, and development of communication materials as the ESMP project approaches its critical phases. This support will complement the efforts of our existing communications team by bringing additional expertise and capacity to ensure high-quality outputs and effective dissemination of project impacts.

Kaizen will hire a Communications consultant with the following Scope of Work and required qualifications.

This position is located in Amman, Jordan.

 

Scope of Work

The consultant will be responsible for the following:

  1. Documentation of Success Stories:
    • Work with technical teams to identify and document detailed success and impact stories.
    • Interview key stakeholders, including beneficiaries, project staff, and government partners, to gather firsthand insights and testimonials.\
    • Ensure stories are compelling and effectively illustrate the project’s achievements and the benefits to stakeholders.
  2. Reporting Enhancements:
    • Assist in the preparation and refinement of periodic reports to USAID and other stakeholders.
    • Ensure reports are clear, concise, and visually appealing, reflecting the professional standards required by USAID and other partners.
  1. Development of content of Communication Materials:
  2. Develop and design advanced communication materials including updates, newsletters, and other materials as needed for the launch of the CMIS platform.
  3. Collaborate with the IT and technical teams to enhance the user interface and user experience of the CMIS platform.
  4. Provide recommendations and creative inputs to ensure the platform is user-friendly and meets the needs of its diverse users, including staff from MOE and MPWH.
  5. UI/UX Contributions for the CMIS Platform:

Qualifications

  • Academic Credentials: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in translation, business, management, public administration, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 years in strategic communications, with substantial experience in creating and managing communication materials for large-scale projects.
  • USAID Experience: Strong familiarity with USAID projects, including adherence to their branding and reporting guidelines. Experience in effectively communicating project impacts and coordinating with USAID representatives.
  • Development of Communication Materials: Proven track record in developing high-quality, impactful communication materials such as press releases, newsletters, brochures, and digital content. Ability to adapt messaging to suit diverse platforms and audiences.
  • Event Management: Experience in organizing and contributing to major events, such as project launches, workshops, and conferences. Skills should include event planning, coordination, and execution, along with the ability to manage event-specific communications and promotions.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Arabic, with excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.

 

 

Duration and Time Commitment

The consultancy will be contracted for a period of five months. The consultant is expected to dedicate up to 2 days per week to fulfill the responsibilities outlined in the Scope of Work. This time allocation is designed to provide flexible support while ensuring significant contributions to the project’s communications needs, especially in critical areas such as the CMIS platform launch and major event management.
