As the Operating Systems Team Leader at Bank of Jordan, you will be responsible for overseeing the administration, management, and security of the bank's operating systems.
This role involves coordinating the efforts of the operating systems team to ensure the highest levels of availability, performance, and security of all operating environments.
You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders across the organization to implement, support, and enhance technology solutions that meet business needs.
Team Leadership & Management : Lead and Mentor: Guide a team of engineers and designers, providing technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to foster a high-performance team.
Performance Management: Conduct performance reviews, set clear goals, track KPIs, and provide actionable, constructive feedback to team members.
Resource Allocation: Manage team workload, assign tasks based on individual strengths, and ensure deadlines are met.
Conflict Resolution: Resolve issues within the team and foster a positive, collaborative environment.
Technical Leadership & Development (OS & HCI) : OS Development: Lead the development, maintenance, and debugging of OS-level software and system services (e.
g., Linux, Windows).
HCI Design & Implementation: Oversee the design and implementation of user interfaces, ensuring they are intuitive, accessible, and responsive.
System Optimization: Monitor and improve system performance, reliability, and security.
Architecture & Design: Act as a technical resource for design decisions, participating in architectural reviews to ensure high-quality software development.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Interaction Design, or a related field.
Experience: 7+ years of relevant work experience in OS development or HCI, with at least 1-3 years in a leadership or senior role.
OS Knowledge: Strong knowledge of OS internals, particularly Linux, Windows, or specialized real-time operating systems.
HCI Expertise: Deep understanding of user experience design principles, human-computer interaction, usability testing, and accessibility standards.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, or Rust, along with experience in scripting and automation.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to motivate teams, delegate tasks, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with stakeholders and team members.
